IRC CHAT COMMANDS
Clear Screen - type /clear
To perform a ME action - type /me followed by message
To change your nickname - type /nick followed by your new username
To ignore someone - type /ignore and then the nickname of the person you want to ignore i.e /ignore thatdude

TO REGISTER YOUR NICKNAME
First login as your chosen nickname, then type /msg nickserv register yourpassword youremail
replacing yourpassword with a decent password and youremail with a working email address.
Next time you login, type /msg nickserv identify yourpassword to become recognised.
All of this must be done in the main chat window, not PM boxes.

To change the topic type /topic ON NOW : SHOW NAME
